Coping with COVID-19

Preparing to Reopen

  1. The studio has been professionally cleaned on Wednesday 6/17/20 to welcome back members. Professional cleaning has been added to our monthly schedule and budget.

  2. Indoor classes are limited to 9 participants and 1 instructor (10 people max).

  3. All classes will be 45 minutes to limit exposure and allow time to clean between classes

  4. Studio arrangement adjusted to allow the flow of traffic and social distancing

  5. The staff has been educated in new indoor class policies, procedures, and cleaning protocols

Safety First:

  2. Please review and resign our updated waiver. This needs to be done before your 1st in-studio class

  3. Screening questions will be asked prior to entry into the studio. (Temperature checks if necessary). Please familiarize yourself with these questions and be prepared to answer.

    • Have you or a persona you have been in close contact with been diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 14 days. (Close contact is defined as 6 ft or less for more than 10 minutes)

    • Have you experienced any of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours?

      • Cough

      • Shortness of breath

    • Have you experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 24 hours including:

      • fever, chills, sore throat, difficulty breathing, vomiting or new loss of taste or smell

  4. All members/participants must bring their own mat for classes.

  5. Barre/Yoga/Grippy Socks are mandatory. Please bring your own or purchase a pair from the studio

  6. For the time being, we will no longer provide water and towels. Please bring a water bottle and a towel.

  7. Windows will be opened during classes and the door will be propped open during entry and dismissal to allow for smoother entry and to allow airflow. When appropriate, the door will be open during workouts.

  8. The studio will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between classes.

Working Together: Everyone has a part.

  1. Arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to the class. Instructors will need to prep and set up.

  2. All members/participants must bring their own mat for classes.

  3. Please wear a mask when entering and exiting the studio. Our space is small, and we want to protect our members and instructors during the arrival and dismissal process. Per state mandate, effective 8/1/20 @ 5:00 pm, masks must be worn while exercising indoors.

  4. Sanitize/wash your hands when entering and exiting the studio. The sanitizer will be available at the entrance, in the bathroom, and throughout the studio.

  5. Designated spaces will be marked on the floor. Spaces are at least 6 feet apart. Please go directly to your spot. Props will already be placed at your workout area (already cleaned and disinfected). If you need to change out a prop size or style, please ask an instructor.

  6. Please limit the number of personal items you bring into the studio. There will only be two people allowed in the back (equipment/cubby area) at a time. Use shoe cubbies whenever possible.

  7. Only use the empty cubbies for personal belongings. Filled cubbies are not to be used for personal items.

  8. We will no longer use hands-on corrections. Cueing will be verbal and visual for form and execution.

  9. At the end of class, please wipe down your props and barre space and leave your equipment at your spot. Your instructor will further clean, disinfect, and put away your equipment.

  10. Please wear a mask and adhere to social distance guidelines when gathering your belongings to exit the studio, as others will be waiting to exit behind you.
